OUR MISSION
& PHILOSOPHY
While Cinetorium does not identify itself as a church or a cult, our mission and philosophy are highly influenced by Jason Wingate's faith in Jesus Christ.
After many years of personal and creative struggle, Jason turned to God in prayer and surrendered his creative vision in 2013. He even gave god full permission to destroy Cinetorium if he felt it unworthy.
The Spirit of Jesus immediately responded to Jason's prayer...
"I will not destroy your Cinetorium, Jason, for I have good use for it. Think of Cinetorium, not as a place of glitz and glamour, but as a place of refuge, sanctuary, and redemption. A place where one can come to the Light and express themselves creatively.”
Jesus calls Jason's Cinetorium his temple, and the land it sits on, his kingdom. Not a kingdom Jason will rule mind you, but a kingdom he will serve.
Cinetorium's mission is to build a creative community through entertainment and compassion. To create a space where young-hearted musicians and filmmakers alike can come together and help each other bring their creative ambitions to life, with the concern of corruption and exploitation.
Light Vs Darkness
When he talks about the light, we don't talk about the sun or the light you flick on with a switch. This is a different kind of light. A pure spiritual energy empowered by the Holy Spirit. The Light is the power of Jesus' love for you, a guiding beacon to redemption and righteousness.
Without light, there is no warmth, no colour, no pure existence. Yet darkness dominated space long before light came along. That’s why we see shadows— demons. The trauma, crises, and temptations we experience in our lives are all triggered and influenced by dark energy. Now we have a choice. Do we feed the darkness in our souls and give into our anxieties, depression, and anger... or do we strengthen the light Jesus has given us and fight against it by loving and forgiving ourselves and others?
According to the Christian faith, Jesus was sent to Earth for one reason: to save us from sin. But there is more than that. There is a reason why Jesus has promised to return and lead the final battle against darkness. Because Jesus is not just our saviour, he's a king and warrior with a purpose to bring an end to darkness one and for all.
So there is more to Cinetorium than just making music and movies and showcasing them. Jesus calls Cinetorium's movies 'visual parables'. A story telling moving picture which spreads Cinetorium's message— "Join us in our fight against darkness". Join the Cinetorium movement and you will not just be a musician or filmmaker; you too will be a disciple of Christ and keep the spirit, legacy, and message of Cinetorium alive until the very end of time. When Christ returns to lead the final battle against darkness.
This is what God meant when he said, "I will not destroy the Cinetorium, for I have good use for it".
