Hi, I'm Jason Wingate

Filmmaker, Writer, Actor, Singer, Visual Artist, and above all, the Founder of the Cinetorium.

I received my first age at the tender age of 13 as a Christmas in 1996.

With the same camera, I attempted to make my first film 'Adventures of Shannon and Jason: Mission Impossible' in 1997 - which was never completed and only exists as a memory today.

The experience of that summer however sparked the life-long dream of becoming my own filmmaker and performer.

In 2002, I began to talk to Shannon about the possibilities of pursuing a film franchise as a professional career. While Shannon was very supportive, his own career as a dancer took off, making it difficult for him to commit.

In 2003, I felt the need of a theatre that was both a cinema and a live auditorium in one. This way, Shannon could show off his dancing skills, while I screened the films we made together; And so - the vision of Cinetorium was born.

But the dream wasn't to last, by mid-2008, Shannon and I decided to go our seperate ways, since our lives and career paths were very different.

By 2011 - 2013, I become established into the Christian faith, and turn to God in prayer to surrender my 'Cinetorium' vision.

Recently, I received a calling from God to proceed with Cinetorium, recreating what started with 'Shannon and Jason' in 2002, but with a twist. The characters of Shannon and Jason will be replaced by a fictional dynamic duo of my own creation, Mick Copper and Jake Jackson, who originally began to evolve from 'Shannon and Jason' in 2008.

With Mick and Jake joining me in the spotlight, the new Cinetorium franchise will begin to develop as a reimagining of the four original 'Shannon and Jason' stories: 'Fighting Chaos', 'Zombie Will Get You', 'Monstrous Mystery', and 'Young Mad Scientist‘. These will debut as part of the book series called. 'Universal Arc of the Founding Generation', before later being adapted into a film series, creating a brand and foundation for Cinetorium as a studio and theatre chain. Music will be a huge part of the Cinetorium arts, with songs created for the movies, or simply performed in concert live on the Cinetorium stage.

Whether you'd be reading the books, watching the movies, or even listening to the music; or perhaps you would even be joining me through my productions and events yourselves, as a cast, crew, or even a staff member, I invite you to join me as we make Australian entertainment history together.
